Some common bearing identification methods

The nominal pressure angle of the rolling bearings is 0~45, which is mainly or only capable of bearing radial load. According to the nominal contact Angle, the radial bearings can be divided into radial bearings, such as deep groove ball bearings, cylindrical roller bearings and needle roller bearings, etc.
 
Identification of Centripetal Ball Bearings
For the centripetal ball bearings in normal technical condition, its inner and outer ring raceway shall be free from spalling and serious wear marks, and shall be presented with a bright circular groove; All ball bearings shall be round and free of spots, cracks and spalling; The cage is not loose, not broken, not worn through. When holding the inner ring with one hand and nudging the outer ring to rotate quickly with the other hand, the rotation is required to be stable, and only the slight sound of the ball rolling on the racetrack is heard, without vibration; When stopping, it should slow down gradually.
 
After stopping, there is no backward phenomenon. For normal centriped-ball bearings, the clearance between the inner and outer rings and the rolling body is 0.005-0.010mm. The used bearings can be shaken along the axis a few times with the inner ring in hand. When there is an obvious sound between the outer ring and the ball, it means that the mating clearance exceeds 0.03mm, so it should not be used anymore.
 
Identification of Tapered Roller Bearings
After the tapered roller bearings are used, check whether the rolling body and the inner ring raceway are peeled off, whether the retainer is too loose, whether the front and rear edges of the inner ring are intact, and whether the outer ring raceway has cracks. After the inner ring and roller assembly are loaded into the outer ring, the roller shall fall into the middle of the raceway, and the forward movement shall not exceed 1.5mm.
 
Identification of Thrust Ball Bearings
In normal conditions, the two raceways should be free from spalling injury and serious wear, and the ball balls should be free from breakage and pitting. The retainer shall be free from deformation, shall not collide with the two raceways gaskets, and shall hold the ball balls together securely.
